Halifax Panthers forward Fairbank hit by five match ban after red card at Bradford Bulls
Halifax Panthers’ Jacob Fairbank, who was dismissed for punching during his side’s Betfred Championship win over Bradford Bulls at Odsal on Good Friday, has been handed a five-match suspension.
Fairbank pleaded guilty but challenged the Grade E charge (strikes – punching – sustained, repeated or violent – makes contact with the head of an opponent).
The tribunal found the Match Review Panel grading to be correct and also issued a £250 fine.
Fairbank will not be eligible for selection until the Round 15 game at Whitehaven.
