FC Halifax Town v Chesterfield preview
Halifax sit 13th in the National League, having won five, drawn five and lost five of their first 15 games.
The Shaymen have drawn five and lost three of their last eight, which include impressive draws against top-seven sides Wrexham, Leyton Orient and Fylde, but also disappointing 3-0 defeats at Maidenhead and Aldershot, with Town’s last win coming on August 27 at home to Gateshead.

Chesterfield are one place and two points above the relegation zone, having won three, drawn four and lost eight of their games so far, with their last win coming in their third game of the season at home to Braintree.
Martin Allen’s side have scored more goals on the road than they have at home this season, but only Maidstone, Braintree and Dagenham and Redbridge have scored fewer goals than them.
They have only scored the first goal once in their last 12 games, while their clean sheet last time out against Fylde was only their second shut-out in 12 attempts.

Hide AdChesterfield will be without attacking midfielder Charlie Carter, who has an ankle injury, and Sheffield United loanee Jake Bennett, as the defender has a thigh injury, but Allen could hand a debut to attacker Alex Kiwomya, on loan from Doncaster, while forward Zavon Hines is available after a three-game suspension.
Former Town striker Tom Denton will return to The Shay for the first time since leaving the club over the summer. Denton is yet to score in five appearances for Chesterfield.
Matty Brown and Matty Kosylo have both served their three-game suspensions. Town will be hoping Jordan Preston will be fit after he hobbled out of their defeat at Aldershot with what looked like a hamstring injury.
Town are running a ‘Kids For A Quid’ offer for their televised home match with Chesterfield on Saturday (5.15pm).
