FC Halifax Town: Summerfield nearing the end of his road to recovery from injury, says Wild
Summerfield has been a key player for Town this season but hasn’t played for The Shaymen since suffering a partial tear of his ACL against former club Wrexham in January.
“We’re hoping we’ll be somewhere near after this week, we just need to make sure we’re completely right with him,” Wild said.

It is unclear whether Billy Chadwick will be available for the game after missing the win over Weymouth due to personal reasons. On midfielder Martin Woods who was an unused substitute in the win over Weymouth on Saturday, Wild said: “The back’s still sore so I said ‘if we need you, we’ll use you, if we don’t then we’ll keep you rested until we get you right’.”
Jack Earing has been troubled by a hamstring problem recently and was taken off in the Weymouth game. “I thought at 3-1, coming back from that hamstring, we needed to manage it and it was a great opportunity to manage it,” Wild said.
“I thought it was the right thing to do, especially with the games coming up.”
