How you voted: Referendum results in detail from every Yorkshire district
Turnout figures revealed Yorkshire voters had come out in vast numbers, heeding the call from politicians on both sides to have their say in this once-in-a-lifetime decision about the country’s future.
More than 80 per cent of people in Craven had cast their vote, a remarkable figure, and almost all districts registered figures in the high sixties and seventies.

Hide AdIn a sign of the highly unusual nature of the night, news that 54 per cent of Hull voters had bothered to vote - a figure that would have been highly respectable in local or European elections - was met with shock in the room and on social media.
It later turned out to be an administrative mistake.
Then came the results. First Craven, Richmondshire and North East Lincolnshire, all for Leave.
But it was the narrow victory for Leave in Sheffield, killing off Remain’s hopes that urban areas would salvage their hopes, which removed any doubt.
As the minutes and hours passed, district after district backed Leave with only Harrogate, Leeds and, as breakfast time arrived and the national result now clearly beyond doubt, York, supporting In.
