Disruption to Calderdale services and roads
Icy road conditions are causing delays to some waste and recycling collections. Crews can only access where it is safe and any excess will be taken on the next scheduled collection
On the roads, all precautionary routes have been kept open since the snowfall on December 26 and no main routes are closed.

Hide AdAll town centre footpaths have been cleared and regional centres are in the process of being cleared also.
The Council has gritters out dealing with all customer service requests but there is a high number of side roads that will be in need of attention.
No road closures exist that the Council is aware of but there will be hazardous side roads until the weather thaws from Tuesday onwards.
Any home care or day care service being disrupted due to bad weather, providers will call their customers or representatives to inform them of any changes to their care provision.

The Council are forecasting the cold snap to remain for the next few days with freezing temperatures with some fog spells tomorrow.
