Letter: A light-hearted view of bin saga
A poem about the new bin collection service.
Oh where, oh where have the bin men gone?
They haven’t been seen for weeks.
You put out your bin bags and expectantly wait
For the wagon to roll down the street.
But several days later and bin bags piled high
The aroma is just not that sweet.
They give us a list and also some dates
For our rubbish to be left on the street.
But to get them collected and taken away,
It is really quite a feat!
They tell us don’t worry,
They’ll get to us all.
It might just take a while.
Calderdale Council have done it again,
Chaos in such great style.
