Do something charitable to help our older people
Community Foundation for Calderdale (CFFC) is investing £25,000 into its #MakeItStop appeal - aimed at addressing some of the key problems facing older people across the region.
The Foundation is directing its funding to local groups who provide services which help combat social isolation, fuel poverty and health and social issues to older people.

Chief executive officer for CFFC Steve Duncan said: “It is terrible to think that in an age when so many people are hyper connected with online social networks that older people are suffering very real health implications because they are socially isolated.”
“We are asking people in Calderdale to think about the 17.2 per cent of pensioner living alone, and to donate to our #MakeItStop appeal. Every penny raised in Calderdale by CFFC stays in Calderdale. Let’s unite together and put a stop to older people in Calderdale suffering. We are pledging £25,000 but with your help we could do so much more.”
The CFFC has partnered with Localgiving.com to secure match funding for each donation of £10 given.
