A speeding motorist who crashed his car into a lamp-post and left it has appeared before Calderdale magistrates.
Adrian Thomas Murphy, 27, of Lees Building, Hipperholme, admitted driving without due care and attention and failing to stop after an accident at Stump Cross, Halifax.
He was fined £170 and was ordered to pay £40 costs.
