There are several buses that travel along Haugh Shaw Road, despite there being services provided on the parallel roads, King Cross Road (Aachen way) and Savile Park.
Most of these buses that travel along Haugh Shaw Road are double deckers. As my house is situated higher up from the street the top deck of the buses overlooks my garden. There are usually no passengers on board but when there are, in "rush hour" traffic, it is seldom more than five people.

I wonder about the cost to the passengers: is the bus company being subsidised by the council to provide this service?

There is obviously little thought as to the environment through the pollution these massive buses cause.

What should be a quiet residential street is in fact bombarded with the noise of several empty buses driving up the road at minimum speed of 30 MPH.

I would have thought that the revenue alone from each bus journey would tell the company that this route is a totally unnecessary burden on the paying passenger?

Would this be worth looking into?

remove the bus = five more people in five more cars driving up and possibly parking in your quite road, the increased congestion would soon have you complaining. You are also lucky to be still on a bus route many people would love to be still on one in less fashionable areas. You may actually find being on a bus route increases the value of your property!! You really do not appreciate how lucky you are!

the busses are far two big for todays needs who needs a 70-seat bus on a quiet route get rid and obtain more mini- busses for midday and evening use when patronage is light

it depends how the route is run, it could be a run ,that also gets a double decker from a) to start another run where a 70 seater is needed.

a service is a service stop winging and use it.
