IS it yes or no Linda? What a good letter from Colin Wilson, ("Linda's party follows Thatcher's policies", Your say, Friday, August 22).

D
o these MPs think the public are stupid? We are well aware they don't get involved with the really bad decisions their own parties put forward, but go through a charade in order to be seen supporting us. That is politics for you.

While most of the country get wise and are reeling with anger at the thought of a state funeral for Maggie, no official statement has been made from Gordon Brown.

Mr Wilson is right, these political games have always been played. MPs will use anyone or anything in order to grasp a few votes; it's called desperation.

Surely the country has a right to know in good time, so we can step up the protest to stop this state funeral.

My advice to Linda would be – stop jumping on the bandwagon over a protest that has done very well without you for a while.

If you really want to help, yourself and your back bench Labour colleagues should work hard on PM's questions to try and slide the question in among the usual planted questions and answers from your leader.

Heather, you are jumping on the bandwagon now!
I still find it tacky and distastefull. to approach this question when she is still alive.

Linda its a vote loser, leave it to Heather Terry.
