LISA Jones has lost an hour. In order to restore the balance in her life and reclaim the hour which has gone astray she must embark on a magical, colourful and frightening journey to the world of Dissocia.
It's a weird and wonderful place where cars fly, polar bears sing, lost property is lost and there's always a war on. The characters she encounters are often friendly, sometimes scary and always strange.

Calderdale College students have delved into the dark world of Dissocia for their latest offering on Thursday and Friday, December 4 and 5, in the college theatre, Francis Street, Halifax (7.30pm).

The students say Anthony Neilson's play The Wonderful World of Dissocia is "dark, funny and original, turning theatrical convention on its head... it will delight, confront and surprise".

As Neilson himself puts it: "If you like Alice in Wonderland but there's not enough sex and violence in it, then Dissocia is the show for you."

The show is not suitable for children. Tickets, £4 (£3 concessions) are available from the theatre box office, tel: 01422 357357.
