FAX will be checking on injured pack pair Dave Larder and Dana Wilson at training tonight as they crank up their preparations for their play-off opener with Widnes in seven days' time.
The duo have been out of action since the 34-22 win over Leigh at the Shay in early July, Larder with a fractured jaw and Wilson with a broken arm.
And the original prognosis was that they would be sidelined for eight weeks.
"Both have responded really well to their injuries," said Fax chief executive Graham Clay.
"The plan was always to try to get them back in time for the play-offs."
Clay is doubly keen to see the club enjoy play-off success with financial and possible Super League rewards up for grabs.
"Not only is there the financial incentive of a £100,000 prize for winning the Grand Final," said Clay. "But if we can win the title in the next three years it ticks another box for a further Super League licence application.
"It counts as another plus point."

The absence of promotion has not affected attendances in the Co-operative National League One, which this season enjoyed its best support for 11 years.
The average crowd at the end of the regular season was 2,205, the highest outside Super League since 1997 and almost 10 per cent up on last year's figure of 2,074, which was also a record.
RFL chief executive Nigel Wood said: "The League continues to develop rapidly in terms of playing standards and all-round excitement and this can only continue as the play-offs approach."
The play-offs culminate in the Grand Final at Warrington on September 28.
