YOUNG striker Carlton Balmer was the hero for Greetland as they progressed to the semi-finals with a dramatic 3-2 win away to Luddenden Foot.
Balmer opend the scoring with a tap-in from Carl Ainley's well-timed pass as Greetland started much the brighter of the sides.
Mark Hindle and Ainley missed other chances but Foot also showed their attacking qualities and when Alex Austin volleyed
an equaliser from well outside the area they began to get a foothold.
And error from Dave Walker in the Greetland goal from a deep cross enabled Danny Kirman to give Foot a 2-1 interval lead.
In en even second half, ex-Ovenden WR man Andy Hurcombe levelled matters with a looping header five minutes from time following Craig Taylor's free kick and with extra time looming Balmer smashed home the winner.
Also through to the last four are Elland United and Halifax Irish Centre while the Calder '76 versus Midgley United game was off.
Elland were 5-2 winners at home to Brighouse Old Boys, surging into a 3-0 interval lead.
Brighouse rallied after the break and won a penalty after good work from the tireless James Whitton. Stan Reddy reduced the deficit from the spot and when James Watson squeezed the ball home from a tight angle it was game on.
There were chances at both ends before Elland got the crucial next goal and they added another late on.
Irish followed up a thumping win at Stainland in the Premier with a 2-1 success in a full-blooded, exciting tie away to Shelf United.
Shelf started like a house on fire, hitting the post after two minutes after taking the lead on seven minutes when a shot was blocked on the line and Lee Riley smashed the ball home.
Irish slowly gained a foothold in the contest and levelled on 25 minutes when the hard-working Warren Gray won the ball and Steve Galloway hit a volley which flew 30 yards into the top corner.
The visitors had the better of things down the slope in the second half with Mike Gregory and Declan Rothery prominent and Colin and Brian Matthews breaking down the right.
Shelf looked lively on the break but they were undone two minutes from time when Brian Matthews and Rothery combined superbly with Gregory, who rifled home the winner.
