A PHARMACY has undergone major refurbishment work.
Brook Pharmacy has been at Queen's Road, Halifax for more than 20 years.

Its new owners, who took over in August have created a private consultation area and confidential advice point.

A new delivery vehicle means medicine can be taken to the housebound and elderly.

Manager Sandra Cooper, who worked as a locum to the previous owner for the last nine years, now leads the team.

An open day event was attended by patients, healthcare providers, suppliers and neighbours.

Julia Landale, head of medicines management at NHS Calderdale, who cut the opening ribbon, said: "The refurbishment will allow the pharmacy to provide a greater range of services to patients such as medicines use review, sexual health services and the minor ailments service.

"NHS Calderdale is committed to working with our partners to ensure patients have access to high quality services closer to home."

Mrs Cooper said she and her team were looking forward to providing an increased range of pharmacy and healthcare services.
