Secret millionaire Carl Hopkins has backed a young entrepreneur's new sporting supplements business.
The top businessman, who lives in Brighouse and appeared on Channel 4's hit programme, The Secret Millionaire, has given his support to the launch of two new online retail businesses specialising in a range of nutritional and health supplements.
Sporting Supplements is aimed at anyone with an interest in sport, fitness and health while Homo Supplements aims to be the first supplements retailer for the gay market.
Entrepreneur and designer Brad Murdoch spotted a gap in the market and approached Mr Hopkins for business and financial support for his business idea.
Mr Hopkins said: "When Brad came to me I immediately recognised the potential of both businesses.
"The supplements market is busy and overcrowded but most people are doing it badly.
"There is a lot of potential for growth, especially within the gay sector.
"There is currently no one out there specifically targeting the gay market with this kind of offering."
Mr Murdoch's vast marketing and business experience spans 25 years.
The former chairman of Leeds-based marketing agency The JDA Group set up Kloog, a business consultancy service.
Since then he has advised more than 83 businesses from branding to marketing to exit planning.
And he has also invested in a number of pioneering West Yorkshire businesses, including Joblink Systems Ltd, a job network system.
