Elland under 14s went down 24-8 away to Illingworth.
Elland started well with Callum Duke, Ben Beverley and Gary Greenwood producing some excellent tackles. Illingworth soon opened the scoring after good runs by Jack Sutcliffe, Jack Comer and Ben Hildred sent Jacob Farrell free to weave his way over. K

Illingworth then added to their tally, the ball passing through several hands for Ben Wickings to score in the corner. Elland replied when Jake Williams ran across the Illingworth line and passed to Greenwood who scored out wide.
Illingworth started the second half strongly and Farrell scooted over for his second, Ackroyd adding the extras.
Wickings scored next after some good interchanges with Kyle Nicholson and Oliver Barlow, then completed his hat trick after good work by James Pinder and Ackroyd put him through a gap.
Elland scored a late try when Williams managed to jink through the defence to close the game.

THE Calderdale Service Area are holding their AGM at the Southdale Lounge inside the Shay Stadium on Monday December 8 (7.30pm).
They are also running a Child Protection Course at the same venue on Monday January 12 between 6.30pm and 9.30pm and a Strapping Course, again in the Southdale Lounge, on Saturday December 13 at 10.00am - 12.30pm.
