A VIBRANT Halifax Ladies second team overcame poor weather conditions to demolish opponents Ben Rhydding 7-0 and surge to the top of the table.
Halifax started strongly and finished even stronger with Beth Smith stepping in for the absent Linda Clarkson and co-ordinating the defence superbly and Jem Brooker and Mary Jane Hamilton's accurate passing ensuring they peppered the opposition keeper with shots.

Nicola Boulton received the man of the match for her determination and consistency, with Brooker grabbing four goals and

Mary Jane Hamiliton, Emma Clarkson and Charlie Moss one each.
