School opens new garden from waste
The facility has been developed on a piece of wasteland as a voluntary project by a group of former students of the school who are currently studying on a Heritage Course with the AONB.
The five boys tackled the difficult job with pick-axes and spades, clearing the site of rocks and finally laying a lawn and planting shrubs.

Mr Simpson said: “I am so proud that these five students have created this garden for all staff and students to use.
“It is a wonderful calm area that we will all be able to enjoy.”
The garden was made possible by the tireless fundraising efforts of two grandparents of students at the school, Maria Atha and Yvonne Brown.
