King Cross Post Office to move - When it will close and where it will move to
The current branch at 224 King Cross Road, Halifax HX1 3JP will close on Thursday, May 27 at 5pm. The new branch will open on Friday, May 28 at 1pm.
It will operate as a local style branch with Post Office services provided from two Post Office counters alongside the retail counter of the new stationery, toys and confectionery shop.

Hide AdOpening hours will be Monday to Friday: 8.30am – 5.30pm; Saturday: 9am – 1pm.
This offers 49 hours of Post Office service a week.
This is an additional 14 hours of Post Office service than currently offered, including opening Saturday morning and Friday afternoon. The branch will also open earlier and close later every day, making it far more convenient for customers to visit the Post Office.
The new location is approximately 100m from the current site.
The premises are currently empty and will undergo a full refurbishment. As the Postmaster is unable to install a permanent ramp, there will be a portable ramp provided to ensure the branch is accessible.
