Mike's at the Waterfront
The final production of Actors' Workshop's 2015/16 season is Mike Ward's adaptation of Budd Schulberg's 1954 Oscar winning film On the Waterfront.
It’s really a version of a true story – the illegal control exercised by the Mafia of much of the commercial activity, in and out of the New York waterfront during the late Forties and early Fifties.
Its young hero, Terry Malloy - Marlon Brando in the movie -has had little formal education but shows a natural ability as a boxer.
