Set designers constructed an authentic Georgian street scene near the mill with shops such as a tailor’s and a chemist’s as well as a public house.
Location shoots for the second series of the Sally Wainwright series, which is based on the diaries of 19th-century Halifax diarist Anne Lister, have been ongoing for several months now.
Other scenes have been filmed in Penistone Hill Country Park, near Haworth, and several historic buildings in York, including Fairfax House and St William’s College.
